Vastu Sleeping directions

For a healthy body and mind, a good night sleep is very essential. We often hear people complaining about nightmares or some saying they get a dreamless sleep. Some people have a tendency of waking up at night and then being unable to go back to sleep; while others rely on sleeping pills for rest.

For people in Northern Hemisphere

If you are in the northern hemisphere (north of equator), do not sleep with your head in the north direction. According to Vastu, it is the worst sleeping direction and brings nightmare.

 

Reason: If you place your head to the north and stay that way for 5 to 6 hours, the magnetic pull of earth (which goes from south to north direction) will cause pressure on your brain. This causes disturbed sleep and increased sickness.

But if you are in the southern hemisphere ( in countries like Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Brazil) then the opposite rules apply. Sleeping in South direction would bring bad effect on body, while sleeping with head in the North direction is okay.

Vastu Direction: EAST

East is the best direction to enjoy an undisturbed sleep. North-east is okay. 

According to Vastu, sleeping in this direction is said to increase 

concentration and memory. This direction regulates a person’s pulse rate and 

blood circulation all over the body.

Vastu Direction: WEST

This is considered the next best sleeping direction. This gives name, fame and prosperity.

Vastu Direction: SOUTH

This is also a favourable direction of sleep if sleeping in East is not possible. 

According to some pundits, South direction increases wealth, happiness and prosperity.

Vastu Direction: Bed

In order to enjoy sound sleep, one must have a bedroom with a peaceful environment. South West direction is the storehouse of positive energy. Therefore, placing your  bed in this direction is a great way of curing insomnia. Also, remember, this area must not have windows or doors because these openings will release the energy that has gathered in the house
